“I have many interests but when weather permits you will find me pottering in the garden. I love being able to cut the fresh flowers and bring them into the house (if I’m not clearing snow!!)
I also enjoy cooking – baking bread & cakes and making desserts are my real love – hence my weight problem!! In the winter months I hunt through recipe books for new ideas for the menu.
I’m fascinated by auctions and antique fairs and am always on the look-out for a ‘bargain’. I have collected Goss and Crested China for many years and have a lot of fun adding to my collection.”
“I have had a keen interest in watching motor racing for many years and look forward to the start of the Grand Prix season each year. I’ve owned a Marcos for several years and get a lot of pleasure driving this in the summer months.
I have always loved working with wood – in the past I have made many turned wood items but unfortunately due to ill health I am not able to use the lathe anymore. Another hobby is antiques especially furniture and enjoy going to auctions.
Before entering the tourist business I was involved in the electronic industry. I therefore have an interest in anything electrical – having built our computer I now spend a lot of time using it and have enjoyed many hours building this web site.
Genealogy is another interest – I have managed to trace my family history back to the 1700’s. I have a copy of the 1881 census and would be happy to help any guest trying to trace their family history”.
