Wades Bridge, Aberfeldy
A view of Wades Bridge in Aberfeldy. Colonel Wade founded the Black Watch and a memorial to the regiment stands on the river side. There are peaceful walks up the ‘Birks’ which inspired  Burns.

Balmoral Castle
Balmoral Castle, the Queens Scottish home, is open to the public spring/early summer. It stands on the banks of the River Dee in stunning scenery. Close by is the Royal Lochnager Distillery where Queen Victoria is said to have visited.
Blair Castle.
Blair Castle is the traditional home of the Duke of Atholl  the castle dates from 1269 and has 30 fascinating  rooms to view as well as extensive grounds to walk around.

Blairgowrie
Blairgowrie on the banks of the River Ericht is the centre of the soft fruit growing area. The lush raspberries and strawberries are exported around the world.
Braemar Castle
Braemar Castle is the charming home of the Farquharsons of Invercauld.
Braemar Village
The village of Braemar is a pretty Highland village where each September the annual gathering is held in the presence of the Royal Family.
Branklyn Gardens
Branklyn Gardens in Perth is well worth a visit no matter which season.
Castle Menzies
A 16th fortified house Castle Menzies is a fine example of the “Z” plan. Discover its turbulent history which includes giving hospitality to Bonnie Prince Charlie.
Dunkeld
The interesting town of Dunkeld is on the banks of the River Tay. The Cross is a memorial to the Dukes of Atholl. Close-by are the ‘Little Houses’, a row of white washed cottages built in the early 1700s which lead up to Dunkeld Cathedral.
Glamis Castle
In a fairy tale setting in Angus, Glamis Castle was the childhood home of the Queen Mother and the birth place of Princess Margaret.
Killiecrankie
Site of the famous ‘Soldiers Leap’. Perched on a shelf in the gorge the Killiecrankie visitor centre has interesting exhibits and displays.
Pitlochry
A bustling tourist town in Highland Perthshire, Pitlochry not only has many woollen and gift shops but also a salmon ladder, golf course and a festival theatre
Hermitage
The Hermitage is where the tallest tree in Britain (a Douglas Fir) can be seen growing near the folly.
Craithes Church
Is the church where the Royal Family worship when
staying at Balmoral. It is also the church where the
Princess Royal married for the second time.
